A physics professor at Louisiana Tech University has been charged with attempted second-degree murder after hitting a colleague over the head with a hammer, a police spokesman told Associated Press this week.
The accused professor was allegedly jealous that his colleague, also a physics professor, had received a grant and he had not, the victim's wife told the police.
