Graduate wage packets are getting bigger

Average graduate starting salaries have risen to Pounds 17,400 as a quarter of graduate recruiters expect not to fill all slots, the Association of Graduate Recruiters said this week.

Although an average of 68 graduates chase each vacancy and the average graduate recruiter gets 4,000 applications a year, 25 per cent of employers expect a shortfall in recruitment this year.
