Government launches Foresight consultation

THE government this week launched a consultation on the structure and process of the next round of the Foresight programme due to start in April 1999. Foresight, launched in 1994, aims to identify key areas of growth in science, engineering and technology. Its key themes are used as a focus for research.

The consultation, to identify how the next round should be undertaken, closes on July 31. The consultation document is available from the DTI publications orderline on 0870 1502500, by requesting URN 98/628, or at www.foresight.gov.uk.
