Brussels, 12 Dec 2002

The second Gordon research conference (GRC) on CAG triplet repeat disorders will take place in Barga in Tuscany from 4 to 9 May 2003.

The meeting will include talks that cover all aspects of the polyglutamine diseases, from clinical presentations and mechanisms of pathogenesis to the current state of experimental therapeutics.

The event hopes to attract participants at all stages of their research careers, who represent diversity with respect to gender, race, research area, institutional type and geographical location.

The conference places an emphasis on training, and would be particularly rewarding for researchers at the early stage of their careers.

The GRC provides funds to encourage the participation of a researcher from Eastern Europe or the former Soviet Union. Those who wish to apply should submit an application form and abstract to the Gordon conference office before the end of 2002.
