No wonder half of the nation's four million students went on strike last week if events at Leicester were at all typical. Not only were the protesters treated to a rousing speech by NUS national treasurer and would-be president Andrew Pakes. They were also invited by a guest speaker from Ann Summers to win a vibrating corn on the cob.
