A module on building virtual worlds - the first of its kind in the UK - is to be launched at Glasgow Caledonian University. It will teach the design and development of 3D internet "worlds" using technologies such as OpenSim and Second Life. Ferdinand Francino, the course designer, said: "In ten years it will be as normal to navigate in and between virtual worlds as it is to open a website today."
