The European society of gene therapy (ESGT) will hold its 12th annual congress in Tampere, Finland from 4 to 7 November.
The aim of the conference is to discuss the potential that gene- and cell-based medicines have to reduce healthcare burdens associated with both rare debilitating inherited diseases and common acquired disorders with high morbidity.
Social, economical and ethical issues related to clinical implementation of gene and cell therapy will also be examined at the event.
