Brussels, 30 Mar 2004

The second in the series of seminars 'Views on research and innovation', organised by the Swedish EU R&D (research and development) Council, will focus on gender-specific health issues, and will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 22 April.

Men and women respond differently to drugs and are affected differently by diseases. The event will include presentations on such diseases, and discussions of biological differences and the resulting differences in responses to drugs.

Presentations will be made by speakers from Sweden and the European Commission.
