Gates gives £20m to fight parasitic disease

n The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has given a grant of £20 million to establish the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative at Imperial College, London, in partnership with the World Health Organisation and the Harvard School of Public Health.

The SCI aims to tackle the parasitic disease, which affects more than 200 million people in developing countries.
