Floating an idea

These paper boats carry a precious cargo: the hopes of hundreds of children.

The boats were launched last week outside the University of Sussex's Meeting House as part of Universities Week, which was held by Universities UK to celebrate the role that higher education plays in society and in the economy.

Each child was asked to write a wish on a sheet of paper, and then create an origami boat to form part of the flotilla.
