Alumnus to be proud of No: 44 is a graduate of City of London Polytechnic which of course is now London Guildhall University. Given Guildhall's sorry money troubles, one would expect it to be delighted about an alumnus who had made it to the dizzy heights of banking, and was reputed last year to be worth Pounds 3 billion. Unfortunately Peter Robinson left his post as chief executive of The Woolwich hurriedly last week after a disagreement over his expenses.
