The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) has launched a new website to provide information on industrial research and development (R&D) and innovation performance in the EU. The analysis and research results available through the site are carried out by the JRC's Institute for prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) in collaboration with the Commission's Research Directorate General.
This new online service is part of the JRC's Industrial Research & Innovation (IRI) initiative, which aims to provide a platform for the long-term collection, monitoring, analysis and reporting of information on industrial research and innovation in the EU, with particular emphasis on the relation between research, innovation and economic performance. The website also has a specific section dedicated to research and innovation performance in the new EU Member States.
