The ESF programme Cultural Exchange in Europe, 1400-1700 aims at identifying and analysing the various forms of European cultural currents and exchanges occuring between 1400 and 1700, to elucidate the formation of Europe’s distinctive blend of cultural similarities and differences.

Travel grants are being offered to enable young scholars, both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral, working in the field of cultural history to travel to a programme workshop, to visit research centres which cooperate in the programme or for short visits to libraries and archives in order to consult documents for a period of up to 4 weeks. The applicants’ aims must be strictly related to the activities of the programme teams.
