EU-Russia symposium on biotech cooperation

February 16, 2005

Brussels, 15 Feb 2005

An EU-Russia symposium on science and technology cooperation in the field of biotechnology will take place within the Moscow international congress in Russia from 14 to 16 March.

The event will provide a platform for the discussion of EU-Russian collaboration within the EU's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) for research. A brokerage event will also take place, offering European and Russian scientists the opportunity to discuss in detail proposals to be submitted under the fourth call for 'food quality and safety' projects under FP6.

The event is being supported by the European Commission, along with the Russian government, the Russian National Contact Point (NCP) and INTAS.
