Essex University has announced awards in the first round of its Pounds 25,000 annual teaching and learning innovation fund.
Projects will receive backing of up to Pounds 5,000 to buy staff teaching time to make space for development of new teaching methods.
Award winners include a pilot project to introduce information technology skills in the school of humanities, the design of a self learning e-module in biological sciences, and development of a computer-assisted learning package also in biological sciences.
