Energy efficiency and renewable energy sources in buildings

Brussels, 12 Apr 2005

The Bulgarian Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works are organising an international conference and exhibition on energy efficiency and renewable energy sources in buildings and industry sectors, to be held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, from 13 to 15 April.

Topics will include:
- European policy concerning the energy savings and renewable energy sources (RES) in buildings and industry sectors;
- innovative methods for promoting industrial energy efficiency, economics and policy in energy efficiency;
- energy efficiency and sustainability tools;
- energy efficiency in the Industrial Sectors (steel, pulp & paper, cement, etc);
- financial support schemes and instruments for implementation and promotion of RES in the region. How to create financially attractive markets?
- renewable energy sources - possibilities and barriers in the region.
