Hong Kong's first biofuel research centre has been established in a partnership between Edinburgh Napier University and a local institution. The centre at City University of Hong Kong will address demand for sustainable and non-fossil fuels and the densely populated city's need to deal with rising levels of waste. Edinburgh Napier will help the Asian university to recruit academic staff, and future collaboration between the two universities will include joint research projects, student-exchange programmes and joint partnerships with Chinese industries.
