Edinburgh abstains

Perhaps Edinburgh University academics had already decided who to vote for, but five minutes after the intended start of the Association of University Teachers' education question time, the four parliamentary candidates still outnumbered the audience.

All four candidates stressed their party's willingness to listen -something, on the evidence from Edinburgh, academics are not prepared to do for any of the politicians.
