Meat-loving coffee drinkers are repeatedly told by epidemiologists that their gastronomy will be their doom as studies reveal that fruit, vegetables and water are best for a healthy life. With one exception: more vegetarians tend to commit suicide.
Now scientists have found further evidence that a traditionally unhealthy diet could mean a better mood. A study published in Archives of Internal Medicine, of 87,000 women nurses, has found that those who drank two or three cups of coffee a day had one third of the risk of committing suicide of those who drank no coffee. Put this together with recent findings on alcoholic drinks and it looks like the remedy for the stressful life is: high fat, caffeine and alcohol.
