Dome dogged by Legacy denials

Universities that have said they support the idea that London's Millennium Dome will be converted into a science park have distanced themselves from Legacy plc, which was selected as preferred bidder this week. Legacy had claimed that the Open University, Imperial College and the London Business School were partners and were going to take space in the new science park, to be known as Knowledge City. But the OU and Imperial both denied any firm commitments, while the LBS denied any connection with Legacy at all. The OU said it had helped Legacy to create a website but had no further involvement.
