The European Commission's Research DG has published a prior information notice of a call for tenders for examining the design of research programmes, and private sector interaction in the decision making processes of public research.

The contract is divided into two parts. The first part is aimed at identifying elements of national research programmes that are important for the establishment of a European Research Area (ERA). The estimated budget for this study is 200,000 euro.

The second part should provide an in depth analysis of the decision making processes shaping policies that seek to improve public-private interactions (PPI). The study should also inform on good practice in stimulating an increase in privately funded research through more efficient decision making processes.
