Derby University has been granted a temporary licence to operate a franchise in Israel, after a probation period.
The Israeli Higher Education Council had withheld the licence after it discovered Derby and its franchise partner, Inter College in Tel Aviv, had not met legal requirements.
Lecturers' union Natfhe is still demanding an independent inquiry into THES allegations that Derby admitted students to to its Israeli courses without minimum entry requirements.
