Degrees rarer in over 55s

The percentage of people aged 25 to 34 with degree-level qualifications is almost double that of the 55-to-64 age cohort. Figures from the Labour Force Survey, used by higher education minister Margaret Hodge in answer to a question in the House of Commons recently, do not include the over-64s.
