Dances with greens

Environmentalists have been ranting about universities' failure to green themselves, but one exception is the greenery that has sprouted like an algal bloom over course titles. There are 1,206 undergraduate and diploma courses with the words "environment" or "ecology" in the title. But most entertaining is the triffid-like sprouting of hybrid degrees in: environmental science and catering; environmental and media studies; environmental studies and Japanese; environmental studies and dance - and environmental science with electronic music.
