A new book by a pair of lecturers provides the first exploration of clinical procedures for paramedics, challenging some existing practices in pre-hospital care. The Manual of Clinical Paramedic Procedures is authored by Coventry University's Pete Gregory, senior lecturer in paramedic science, and Ian Mursell, lecturer at the university and clinical facilitator at the West Midlands Ambulance Service. Mr Gregory said: "It is essential that anyone working in pre-hospital care adopts practices that are supported by the evidence."
