Course on strategic communication in biotechnology

An 'advanced course on strategic communication in biotechnology' will take place in Oxford, the UK, from 11 to 21 September.

The course programme has been designed to provide the theory and skills necessary for effective interactive communication in biotechnology, and is addressed to PhD students, post-graduates and lecturers in research institutes and companies working in the field of biotechnology.

Topics will include:
- responding to ethical, legal and social issues;
- bioethical issues in food and human genetics;
- business ethics and university codes;
- the law and biotechnology;
- risk assessment and risk perception;
- public perceptions and stakeholder relations;
- biotechnology and global development.
