The Committee of Scottish Higher Education Principals has backed in principle the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals' draft proposals which would make Coshep part of a federal United Kingdom body. Coshep membership includes heads of all Scottish higher education institutions. The proposals allow for these to have associate status.
