In our league table listing of subjects with top scores for teaching ( THES , May 10), we incorrectly omitted English at Glasgow (RAE 5*); in music, Salford College should read Salford University, while Soas was rated 5 in the RAE; in social policy and administration, the London School of Economics received a 5* RAE rating. In metallurgy and materials, RAE grades of 4 for Bolton Institute and 3a for University College Northampton were also omitted.

A number of institutions were omitted because the outcomes of their reviews have yet to published by the Quality Assurance Agency and are regarded as confidential for five months from the date of visit.

These will be posted on the THES website as they are published by the QAA, or as we are notified by institutions.
