March 15, 2002

Brussels, 14 March 2002

CORDIS, the European Commission's Research and Development Information Service, has expanded its nanotechnology service to offer more information on research, policy and cooperation schemes.

The nanotechnology thematic service offers access to over 180 funded projects as well as funding opportunities, publications and details of existing networks.

The revised and expanded service provides coverage of supported actions ranging from more than 80 projects funded under the Fourth Framework programme for research (1994 to 1998) to a special focus on nanosciences in the proposed Sixth Framework programme (2002 to 2006). New presentations are also available on the approach and aims of the European Commission.

Information on an international cooperation scheme with Russia and on the mapping of excellence in nanotechnology and nanobiotechnology is also now available.
