Brussels, 25 February 2002
A conference aiming to provide a global focus for those involved in innovation and knowledge exchange will take place in Birmingham, UK on 10 to 12 July.
The three day conference, 'Competing in the knowledge economy' will focus on a different issue on each of the three days: globalisation, managing the knowledge economy, and sustainability and the quality of life. Each theme will be addressed by a range of distinguished international speakers.
In addition to parallel sessions, participants will also have the opportunity to take part in extended workshops focusing on establishing small firms as global players, making the most of e-business and sustainability: translating the message for small firms.
Throughout the conference there will be displays of technology transfer activities from various organisations around the world.
