The European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) will host a conference on international research collaboration, from 18 to 20 June in Paris, France.
The event will bring together representatives from European research and higher education institutions to discuss issues relating to research management. Specifically, the conference will cover the following topics:
- Strategic planning, internal structures and governance;
- Sources of research funding and associated issues;
- Making international research links last longer;
- Practical ways to help structure international research collaborations.
The forthcoming Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and its objectives will also be discussed during the event.
A message pre-recorded by the European Commissioner for Science and Research, Janez Potocnik, will open the conference. Members of the European Parliament's Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) committee will be among the participants attending the event.
