The European Commission has re-published a call for proposals related to women and science, first published on 26 May under the Science and Society priority of the Sixth Framework Programme, and extended the closure date for receipt of tender documents.
The scope of the call now covers:
- empowerment of women scientists, and public debate (area 4.3.5.1 (a) of the work programme;
- ambassadors for women and science (area 4.3.5.1 (b) of the work programme);
- gender research (area 4.3.5.2 of the work programme);
- practical tools for mainstreaming (area 4.3.5.3 of the work programme).
The new deadline for the receipt of tender documents is 15 October. In specifying the instruments to be used, the Commission requests the use of specific support actions, specific targeted research projects and coordination actions. The total indicative budget for the call is 6.4 million euro.
