Coastal sound waves

Continuing the musical themeE Hull University's Centre for Environmental Sciences now has a composer in residence. Craig Vear says he will use the coastline as his source of creativity when he takes up his post at the university's Scarborough campus. According to Hull's press release, Mr Vear will create a portfolio of music using recorded sounds and voices. "Through the process of recycling found sound, my work aims to draw attention to ecological and environmental issues," he said.
