Southampton geography student Daniel Brown went to the Volta region of Ghana to help an African village to build a library.
Now he is about to become the village chief for a night. He is also booked in for meetings with Ghana's minister and deputy minister of education and is lined up for a national television appearance - that is after he has recovered from a bout of malaria.
