Ezio Capizzano, 67, a former law professor at the University of Camerino, is to stand trial for rape, corruption and embezzlement after allegedly awarding female students high marks in exchange for sexual services, which he recorded with a concealed video camera.

The allegations, which he denies, came to light in 2002 after an assistant allegedly tried to sell 18 videos of the encounters with female students.
