Brussels, 24 July 2002

A workshop for research managers and administrators who already have some knowledge of the EU's Framework programmes will take place on 6 September in Cambridge, UK.

The event will focus on IST (information society technologies) in the Sixth Framework programme and will also cover the programme's new funding instruments, including integrated projects and networks of excellence.

Exploring how the new funding mechanisms will operate in practice, the workshop will consist of lectures, practical exercises and feedback sessions.

The workshop will be hosted by the St John's Innovation centre, part of the Innovation Relay Network.
