Brussels, 11 Sep 2006

The European Commission's Directorate General for Information Society and the Media has published a call for tenders for a study on the impacts of information society technologies - research, technology and development (IST-RTD) in key strategic objectives on growth and jobs. The objective of the study is to clarify the causality mechanism and assess the effectiveness of the links between the specific IST-RTD strategic objectives, the key i2010 initiatives and their broader economic and societal objectives.

Specifically, the study will analyse how and to what extent implementation mechanisms and measures contribute to the development of an innovation-friendly market with adequate demand for and capacity to absorb the output of the EU-supported IST-RTD.
