Call for tenders in the area of 'sustainable energy systems'

The European Commission has published a call for proposals in the area of 'sustainable energy systems: research activities having an impact in the medium and longer term' under the Sixth Framework Programme's 'sustainable development, global change and ecosystems' activity. This is one of the areas covered by the 'integrating and strengthening the European Research Area' specific programme.

The area covered by this call is:
- Sustainable energy systems: research activities having an impact in the medium and longer term (area 6.1.3.2 of the work programme).

Under this call, proposals are invited which support the strategic objectives of this section of the work programme, and primarily major policy initiatives such as: the establishment of European technology platforms; and support to international cooperation initiatives aimed at securing a leading role for Europe on global sustainable energy issues of strategic importance to the objective of the programme.

In specifying the instruments to be used in these areas, the call requests the use of coordination actions and specific support actions. Proposers are advised to consult the full call text at the address below in order to find out the particular instruments requested for each area.
