Call for proposals: 'Support to mutual learning and co-ordination in research policy making'

The Commission's Research DG has issued a call for proposals for indirect RTD actions in the area of 'Support to mutual learning and co-ordination in research policy making', under the specific programme 'Strengthening the Foundations of the European Research Area'

The calls invite proposals for indirect RTD actions relating to the thematic priority area: 'Support for the coherent development of policies'.

This action is targeted at national and regional authorities and may involve, where appropriate, other relevant stakeholders active in research policy making.

Proposals can be submitted in the following areas:
- public research spending and policy mixes;
- public research base and its links to industry;
- fiscal measures for research;
- intellectual property rights and research; and
- SMEs and research.

Proposals should pay particular attention at the transnational dimension associated to the issues addressed. Proposals should aim at improving the effectiveness of national and regional policies through enhanced mutual learning and peer review as well as at developing and implementing transnational concerted policy actions. They may also identify areas requiring complementary and mutually reinforcing actions at MS and EU levels. Actions are expected to be of a duration of up to two years. They may have a longer duration only if duly justified.
