Call for proposals - future and emerging technologies

The European Commission has published a call for proposals for future and emerging technologies (proactive initiatives) under the information society technologies (IST) thematic priority of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6).

This call relates to:
- quantum information processing and communications (2.3.4.2iv in the work programme);
- global computing (2.3.4.2v in the work programme);
- emerging nanoelectronics (2.3.4.2 in the work programme);
- bio-inspired intelligent information systems (2.3.4.2vii in the work programme).

The total indicative budget for this call is 80 million euro.

Interested parties are invited to consult the original call text in order to see which funding instruments have been prescribed for each area of research.
