The Commission's Research DG has published a call for tenders for a multiple framework service contract for expert support with the production and analysis of research and development (R&D) policy indicators.
This call falls under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) activity area 'Strengthening the foundations of the European Research Area', part 12 'Support for the coherent development of policies'.
According to the relevant section of the work programme (12.3.1): 'In the area of indicators and economic analysis, the information and knowledge relevant for research and innovation policies that will be gained through this activity, will be used to support the work of the European research and innovation policy makers.'
As a guide only, the Commission estimates the total scope of the 36 month contract at between 800,000 and 1 million euro.
