Business helps Glasgow fund scholarships

Glasgow University is linking up with leading businesses in a scholarship scheme.

The Century 21 Club has already attracted a dozen companies, including the Clydesdale Bank, Abbey National Financial Services, leading Scottish law firm Dundas & Wilson and engineering giant Motherwell Bridge Holdings Ltd, and will generate more than Pounds 200,000 over the next five years. The scheme will offer work and training placements and annual Pounds 1,000 sponsorship for three years.
