"I'm not that innocent," chants teen songstress and virgin vamp Britney Spears. Indeed not - her physical charms are being used as a guide to semiconductor physics, edge-emitting lasers etc.

Carl Hepburn, a postgraduate student at the University of Essex, has set up a website in which bubbles from Britney's lips guide you through "the fundamentals of the vital laser components that have made it possible to hear her super music in a digital format".
