Bristol hit by meningitis

Bristol University was fighting an outbreak of bacterial meningitis this week after three first years and a second year contracted the disease. All four were admitted to hospital and in a stable condition on Wednesday, as The THES  went to press. Antibiotics were being administered to target groups, including close contacts of the students and over 3,000 other people.
