More than 3,200 users made contact with the THES Internet service in the week to 6pm Tuesday, with 728 users making more than 7,400 Internet inquiries on Tuesday morning and afternoon alone.

Usage that day was set to break the previous high of 777 users and 8,405 inquiries established the previous Tuesday, proving that an increasing number of users are making the most of the chance to see the THES's job advertising as early as possible.

The job advertising from the THES appears on the Internet service at 3pm on Tuesday before being published in print on the following Friday.

Also being expanded is the service's book listings system, which now contains details of 394 new books in a full range of academic disciplines.
