The word "Bologna" may cause glazed eyes in some quarters of higher education, but in Montenegro it clearly has the potential to inflame. University of Montenegro student Ivica Todorovic has been jailed for 30 days, suspected of causing grievous bodily harm. Her alleged victim? A fellow student who appeared on TV criticising the university's law faculty for disregarding the Bologna Declaration and Montenegrin student organisations of failing to protect students' rights.
