Biobiz is organising a series of training workshops throughout Europe to help scientists launch biotechnology start-ups.
Biobiz is an initiative sponsored by Eurobiobiz and the European Commission's Quality of Life programme under the Fifth Framework Programme (FP5). It aims to increase the number of successful start-up companies in Europe by facilitating scientists' access to capital through better business planning.
The workshops are scheduled for the following cities and dates:
- Berlin (D) 21 to 23 January 2003
- Paris (F) 18 to20 February 2003
- Warsaw (PL) 18 to 20 March 2003
- Hamburg (D) 15 to 17 April 2003
- Vienna (A) 20 to 22 May 2003
Researchers from EU Member States, associated states and candidate countries with a suitable start-up project in the biotech field are encouraged to participate.
