Bedside manner should count for more

Medical schools will be advised to place less emphasis on A-level results and more on bedside manner when selecting students. The Council of Heads of Medical Schools is drafting a policy statement that will tell the schools to broaden their selection criteria beyond academic achievement, to produce more rounded doctors.
