Tessa Hadley, who teaches literature and creative writing at Bath Spa University, has been shortlisted for an award in the United States for her collection of ten short stories, Sunstroke and Other Stories. Dr Hadley is the only British finalist for The Story Prize, worth £10,000 to the winner.
