Baker to head GuildHE

David Baker, principal of University College Plymouth St Mark and St John, replaces Pamela Taylor as chair of GuildHE. Professor Baker, previously vice-chair, will serve for two years at the organisation, which represents smaller, specialist higher education institutions.

Professor Baker said: "I intend to find ways of getting more people to think about issues that matter to members: widening participation, specialist provision and the value of teaching."
